Thoughts On “The End of the Email Era”

As unpopular as my following comments may be, it took only a few paragraphs to know that thwhy is communication important article was probably written by a woman. Checking above, that proved correct. The value of email is not limited to gossip and trivia. It targets and allows specific important, private communications, not just back-yard over the fence trivia of the type to be shared with and inundate masses of people concurrently. Read More...

Criticism On “Holman Jenkins: After Osama, Energy Sanity?”

We invaded Iraq to set up a battlefield in the mtax id numberdle of a broad flat desert. Instead of hunting terrorists in the mountains of Afghanistan, we brought them to us. We caused them to shift locations, so we could track them. It's much easier to defend a territory than to fight on the enemy's grounds. THAT'S WHY. A side perk was getting rid of a genocidal tyrant, whose regime had been deemed, by the UN, as the number one Read More...

Analysis On “Steve Inskeep: Liberal Bias at NPR?”

I am a long time supporter and good listener to local NPR stations. I also have no illusion that NPR has a strong liberal bias, not only in how it reports the news, but what news it chooses to support. Any independent observer of NPR over the decades would have to conclude that liberalism is in the culture of NPR. That is OK. I have no problem with broadcasters having a point of view. In fact, I favor it. I like listening to various Read More...

Some Thoughts On “John Yoo: From Guantanamo to Abbottabad”

Sending in the Seals was a huge risk for the Obama presidency. Where did this courage come from? Is this the same guy who has been apologizing for America's arrogance? Maybe he finally decided he needed how to become more confident take this risk to help his re-election chances. For whatever reason the mission was successful so he's has a right to take some credit. The question now... is this an aberration or does President Obama Read More...

An Opinion On “Diane Cole: Circumcision Saved My Life”

I'm opposed to abortion. Why this is relevant in this discussion, I fail to see. These are healthy body fat percentage newborns, who will not have sex for many years who deserve the right to decide what to do with their own foreskins. By imposing circumcision on a newborn, you effectively make an alteration to his body, excrutiatingly painfully, and deny him the opportunity to decide for himself. It is a blatant strippage of that Read More...

A Commentary On “Peggy Noonan: Information Overload Is Nothing New”

As another mohow to overcome stage frightrcycle rider, I fully--fright-fully--concur. I have pulled over to the side of the road when I have seen nearby idiots consumed with something in their lap...and I didn't even wish to speculate on what it was. Along those same lines, if you haven't been in a younger-crowd bar lately, you'll find, as I have, that perhaps in place of cigarettes, every siingle person (and even those in groups) Read More...

My View On “Congressional Staffers Gain From Trading in Stocks”

It's not that either Republicans or Democrats are corrupt, lacking in ethics and/or morals. It's that POLITICIANS and those who choose to work in politics at work are corrupt. Some players are lacking in ethics when they go into politics. Some are corrupted while they're there. All of them come out ethically challenged. Easy fix on the investment advantage had by those in the political realm: For the entire term of one's service Read More...

Analysis On “IRS Gives Employers a Break on Payrolls”

Employees pay more taxes than Independent Contrachow to motivate employeesrs because Employees can not fully deduct their legitimate business expenses. Therefore the Government wants everybody to be classified for tax purposes as an employee even if they are in fact Independent Contractors. If you think this is a problem now, wait until ObombaCare comes in, when every employer with 50 or more employees has to pay $15,000.00 per employee Read More...

A Response To “Amazon Battles States Over Sales Tax”

Mike, I think your observation shows how the 1992 Supreme Court ruling is outdated. I hate paying taxes as much as the next guy, but as long as we are, I don't see why Amazon should be exempt because of jurisdictional issues. I consider the transaction to be taking place in the buyer's physical location, hence the buyer should pay their respective sales tax just like any other business in their area sales manager. It creates unfair Read More...

A Response To “Obama Proposes New Plan to Cut Deficit”

The sad thing is that the Tea Party has been very effectively manipulated by the likes of Don Blankenship and the Koch Brothers. They are part of that group cohesiveness of America's rich who believes the country is better is they get richer. Don't tax them, don't inhibit their development (regardless of the cost in human life and well being) because they have convinced a naive group of people that all taxes and regulation are wrong, Read More...
